About Mutiara The Label

Born from a deep love for the ocean in the Gili Islands in 2023, Mutiara The Label is more than just an accessory brand. Every purchase helps supporting local people in Indonesia.

Mutiara The Label collaborates with a local family in Lombok, who carefully craft each phone strap from start to finish. For the final detailing, the brand partners with a skilled Balinese silversmith to create the signature mermaid tail charms.

Each piece is unique due to the use of natural materials such as freshwater pearls, seashells, and gemstones. The freshwater pearls are sourced from Lombok, the seashells from Bali and the Gili Islands, and the gemstones from Sumba, Kalimantan, and Sumbawa.

And if you didn't know, “Mutiara” means “pearl” in Indonesian, a nod to the natural beauty and little treasures that inspire each design.

The Founder

Meet Sharissa

Sharissa is the founder of Mutiara The Label. She's originally from the Netherlands and lives in Bali since 2023. It was always a dream of her to start her own brand and since she always wears a phone strap, she wanted to design her own. From the beginning she didn't just want to start a brand like any other, but really focus on giving back to the Indonesian people and sourcing everything as local as possible.

That's why she works together with local people in Indonesia. Everything is handmade by a local family in Lombok and a Balinese silversmith. Maintaining a strong personal connection with her production partners is essential to her. She visits them regularly to brainstorm new ideas and continue improving the collection together.
